I am a poke stop! (Apparently!) My public artwor I am a poke stop!
(Apparently!)

My public artwork in Bournemouth has become part of the Pokemon game!

"PokeStops in Pokemon Go are places of interest or other hotspots in your actual community. They can be buildings, monuments, public art, etc. You must walkabout your town or city, find these PokeStops, and pick up the special items they spit out in order to advance in the game."

So if you're still playing Pokemon Go, check out #layersofbournemouth for virtual as well as sculpture related rewards

Just read this Guardian article... Microplastic p Just read this Guardian article...
Microplastic pollution has been detected in human blood for the first time, with scientists finding the tiny particles in almost 80% of the people tested.

“It is certainly reasonable to be concerned,” said Prof Dick Vethaak, an ecotoxicologist at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands
(Typical scientist understatement!!! What he really means is we would be mad if we weren't worried)

“The big question is what is happening in our body?” Vethaak said. “Are the particles retained in the body? Are they transported to certain organs, such as getting past the blood-brain barrier?” And are these levels sufficiently high to trigger disease? We urgently need to [know]

“Plastic production is set to double by 2040,” said Jo Royle, founder of the charity Common Seas. “We have a right to know what all this plastic is doing to our bodies.”
